Social Security Region 8: Denver

Region 8 of the Social Security Administration includes the following: Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. The region also includes 48 Field offices, 8 Offices of Disability Adjudication & Review, and 6 Offices of Disability Determination Services. Within Region 8, there are a little over 250,000 individuals who receive SSDI and approximately 150,000 individuals receive SSI. Overall, around 5.1% of the population in the region is considered disabled by the SSA’s standards and the SSA gave out on average about 354 million dollars in benefits per month in 2013.
