Vocational Rehabilitation Services
The Department of Public Education is the group responsible for New Mexico's Vocational Rehabilitation Services. The VR offers services to people with disabilities such as job seeking, job preparation, and job maintenance. Anyone can apply for VR services but must meet the disability requirements to prove one truly needs assistance. Those who are already receiving disability benefits from either Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) qualify for VR services.
